International board level experience and recognised ability to deliver mission critical results in complex multi-partner environments. Established international utility consultant, large transformation program strategist and accelerator of delivery across people, process and technology spectrum.

Pete has been the key shaper and implementer of the significant business and information technology programmes that have effected the gas and electricity utility sector in the UK and the USA, notably: privatisation, domestic supply competition, mergers and acquisitions, gas network unbundling and the step change in safety, efficiency and customer service regulation.

His extensive experience of leading large business transformation programmes and partnering with the ‘Big 4’ management consultancies, system integrators, collaboration and engagement specialists, has given him a unique insight into what it takes to realize true value and sustain performance improvement from the implementation of change.

He has worked with senior leaders of major utility companies in UK & Europe, USA, Australia, and the Middle East to help them create the foundations for successful change and find innovative solutions to their most complex business challenges.  He has worked as an executive advisor for National Grid, Wipro, EY, PwC and Boston Consulting Group, Japan.

He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of Space-Time Insight, an asset management situational intelligence software company, based in California, USA.

Pete previously worked for British Gas, Transco and National Grid where he held several executive roles including Director UK Business Change, Director of Gas Distribution Transformation (UK and USA), Director of Distribution Support, Head of Network Sales and Head of Network Services.


Jeremy Bending

Jeremy Bending

10 years operating at Board level internationally Jeremy has led a number of major transformation programs in safety critical industries. His passion is for helping business achieve a step change in their asset risk performance at the same time as managing organisational change.

Jeremy recently stepped down as the Interim Director (COO) at National Grid with responsibility for its Gas Distribution Business and is currently Non exec director at Skills2learn a subsidiary company of Babcock International, Director and past Chairman of the Joint Radio Company and Director of the Energy Networks Association        

He worked overseas in 1986 when seconded to Tokyo Gas Company for 14 months, working predominantly in their LNG Production Division. Has also worked in the US where he led a project in to align the Asset Management approaches between the UK and the US. During this period of time, following the publishing of the Baker report, he led a global task force to implement a new Process Safety approach across the National Grid. This work has been recognised as Industry leading by the UK Health and Safety Executive.  

In 2012 appointed as Director with responsibility for Gas Distribution in the UK and successfully led the organisation through a number of strategic changes in order to prepare the business for the start of the challenging Regulatory period that started in 2013.

Jeremy has made a huge contribution to the energy industry as we know it today and his work has encompassed the technical, operational and commercial areas of the industry. Having played a crucial role in National Grid’s development strategy in the early 90s Jeremy has held prestigious appointments such as Chairman of the International Gas Union and President of IGEM in 2010/11. Is also in demand as a speaker at industry events and is regarded as a thought leader in the areas of Asset and Risk management and Process Safety.

In May 2014 Jeremy’s contribution to the industry and outstanding career was recognised with the IGEM/EUA Lifetime Achievement Award.

Matt specialises in the design and delivery of collaborative processes that accelerate transformation and solution design activity. He delivers this through high-impact Transformation Events & Hubs supported by virtual collaboration tools to maximise impact and reach.

He has worked with senior leaders of major Fortune 500 and FTSE companies and Public Sector bodies across all sectors in UK & Europe, USA, Australia, South Africa and the Middle East to solve there most complex business challenges. These include strategy delivery, business planning, operating model and organisation design, business processes and technical architecture design, and shaping and embedding the organisational culture, behaviours and ways of working to enable success.

Most recent clients include NHS, FCA, TMK, Swiss Re, National Grid, Network Rail, Tate & Lyle, Qatar Rail, Avanade, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, UAE Central Government, Dal Foods, Bristol Myers Squibb, Thames Water and many others.

Matt previously worked for Barclays, Capgemini (UK & Australia) and a number of niche management consultancies.
